Here is a list of extensions that list compatibility for Nvu and/or KompoZer , the unofficial bugfix for Nvu. You can learn more about these programs at nvu.com and kompozer.net. Both programs are based on Firefox 1.0 (not 1.0.8!).

Nvu 1.0 - 1.1
Homepage
The last official version of Nvu is Nvu 1.0. However, you might wish to use the minVersion and maxVersion shown below for possible compatibility with KompoZer.

KompoZer 0.7 - 1.1

The last official version of KompoZer is KompoZer 0.7.10. However, you might wish to use the minVersion and maxVersion shown below for possible compatibility with Nvu.

Nvu users may wish to upgrate to KompoZer, which is the unofficial bug-fix and would have been Nvu 1.1. Add-ons that install in Nvu should also install in KompoZer. However, there are some that only work in one or the other.

Aaron James Young wrote a tutorial on how to convert FireFTP (for Firefox 1.0) to KompoZer.
Installing FireFTP on KompoZer. Basically, adding the following information to install.rdf allowed compatibility.

He also indicates changes to contents.rdf and fireftpOverlay.xul. Someone more knowledgable would need to tell us when similar changes would be needed for those files to port Firefox 1.0 extensions to KompoZer/Nvu.

It does not seem to work on Nvu or KompoZer, even though it lists as compatible. The menus have no new icons. The latest version 1.9.1 does not always install or uninstall properly. Sometimes you must remove it manually and edit config files or create new profile. The previous version 1.8.2.1 sometimes installs in an Asian character-based language instead of English (my locale is en-US). Why?
