Show the filesize on a link hover



This application extends the Link Properties and displays File Size, Last Modified Date, Content Type and HTTP Header of a link target. You can decide whether or not to show http headers by checking or unchecking this box in the extension's options window.

** If a developer can modify this extension for Thunderbird 1.5 and higher and/or SeaMonkey, please let me know. This topic at MozillaZine Forums has more information and advice from Philip Chee. In order for Extended Link Properties to work in Thunderbird, an extension by MASA called Link Properties for Thunderbird will be required. That adds the needed Properties entry into Thunderbird's context menu. Unfortunately, Extended Link Properties still does not work in Thunderbird even with that installed.

Torisugari wrote another extension that works with this one. It is called File Size (Statusbar). The last official version can be found in our Extensions Archive, but it will not install in newer versions of Firefox. My new modified version will be uploaded shortly. Before installing File Size (Statusbar), Extended Link Properties must be installed first.


AMI is unable to contact Torisugari for approval to mirror and modify his work. We have no valid contact information. Since he has not submitted new or updated extensions since 2005 and they were written for Firefox 1.0/1.5 or earlier, his extensions are probably abandoned. Other developers have already submitted new extensions to AMO based on his work.

The FireFox 3.5 says: Extended Link Properties 1.2.5 are not compatible.
